Back in the 1950’s, Ed Dozier had been cookin’ up his own barbeque for quite some time. Ed knew he had somethin’ special. So in 1957, Ed opened Dozier’s Grocery & Market in Fulshear, Texas, just west of Houston, and set about making the tastiest barbeque around. Word spread like wildfire and folks began hightailin’ it to Fulshear. Dozier’s soon became the place to get barbeque. And it still is. Locals, city folks, passersby, celebrities, politicians, and sports figures visit us. Out-of-the-way trips are not uncommon just for a taste of our Texas barbeque. We’ve made barbeque for some very well-known people. Heck, we’ve even had a song written about us! Things haven’t changed much around here. We still use Ed Dozier’s original recipes. Customers still come from miles around. We’re still in the same place. “If it ain’t broke, we don’t fix it” is our motto at Dozier’s. When ya’ got somethin’ that good, why change it? Got a Dozier's story? Tell us! Listen to the Dozier’s song. |
